SILKEN FROSING

There was the pitter patter of rain on the Trailer this morning, but up on the hill that meant there was freshness for the first arrivals.   Visibility was at a premium as the storm was in full effect, building up the cushion with the medium density installment.  The Groomers were offering the goods with 3” of silken frosting on the big smooth.   I kept hitting the top to bottom ripper before it got chopped up.  Light traffic made the Tram ride much more spacious, and the pace full on “Get IT While It’s Hot”.   The harbor chop began to build in, which required a rounder more deliberate approach, to avoid some unseen pile that could put the Kibosh on your turn.    Storm clouds held on all day, with only marginal clearing way off in the Western sky, so I expect a bit more freshness for the AM. festivities.  Tomorrow, look for clearing weather, fresh buffed lines, and light traffic.  Off trail will still have the widespread interference patterns that really need some big wind to fill them in.  We will see if that feature kicks in during the next few days.   Here is a shot of Mineral Basin taken from the far reaches,DSC01327 that I took the other day during the Lewis and Clark expedition.   This shot gives scale to the vastness of the Basin.  See you for the morning offerings.   IBBY!!
