Well, last weekend’s snow fall did not shake out as planned, but what did fall will add to the base making the lower mountain look much more like an opener than it did last Wednesday when I was up to look at it.  Here is a shot of the lower Gad Valley, where the cats were working the hill in anticipation of the opener on Wednesday.  The forecast is for precipitation tomorrow and Wednesday as well, so any additional accumulation will just add to the cushion.  It looked as if the prepared sections were good to go, but off the beaten path looked mighty thin and close to the bone.  The temps are good for snowmaking during the night, so that will also help get the main run built up.  I think that it should be real fun and the stoke will be high.  Reports from the upper mountain speak of very thin cover with a lot more accumulationDSC01626 needed before the Tram can get open, but the Essence will come as it always does.  See you first thing Wednesday morning.  Ciao!!
