FIRST LOOK

With all this snow having fallen in short order, the Mt Ops teams did a heroic job of getting some of the hill open for The Faithful who were taking advantage of the final opening of the Canyon. This snow was quite high density, but offered a floaty and buoyant feel. The visibility was at premium with foggy conditions and staying close to the trees was a must to keep reference.

Mikey M drilling the fall line and keeping his speed up on Baldy.
Mark Harath staying close to the trees and keeping his stance solid in the higher density product.

Tomorrow, look for some additional accumulation as the impulses push back out of the East. It will only amount to a few inches, but anything we get on top of what has been received is icing on the cake. Expect The Faithful to be in full attendance, and more of the hill to be opening slowly as mitigation efforts proceed. Visibility will remain an issue, so keep the trees in sight for proximity and pitch reference. What a great start to the New Year. Speed Safely!!!
