There was a short window of clear weather to start out the day. Mineral Basin was offering some smooth fluff covered lines that pulled the crowd back there from the start. On the front of the hill, the High North aspects were offering very smooth lines that have been absent for most of the season and it was nice to have the big drops holding the smooth. I will be looking to some lines there myself when I hit the hill in the AM. Lower on the hill, the consistency was more Spring like with a corn feel that was tantalizing. Clouds moved in after Noon and flurries began, making the visibility go flat. Here is a Sunny shot of Toad Hill with the upper tower of the Mineral Chair framing the scene. Tomorrow, look for the Groomers to be offering the smooth lines. Look for the smooth on the High North aspects as they probably will be holding the sheen. With some overnight flurries, there should be some fresh Essence to cushion the ride. I will be back on the hill dark and early. Traffic should be brisk, so look to the chairs for the uphill options.
