GETTING WARM

The temps. are getting warm as the High Pressure slowly moves over The Front. There was a light freeze overnight, but the window was very short and you had to be fast to keep up with the break. Here is a shot of one of the Industrial Smoothers parked on the peak. Big wide open lines were on tap for the Morning Crew out in Mineral Basin, where smooth sorbet carpets were feeling luxurious. Lupine loop was breaking fast and had that big drop above the chair offering the steep sweet goodness. On the front of the hill, Peruvian Gulch was fast and fun top to bottom, and there was very little traffic. It is like a private resort when it gets like that. Here is a shot of the Moon over the ridge on the Twins. The break went off wall to wall and the lower elevations got the sticky feel going that sent me back to the peak to stay up on the upper elevations. I met up with the Powder Mafia, who were celebrating their annual Crusty Fest. They were in rare form and were really loving the corn goodness. Rock ON guys!! Tomorrow, look for a very balmy morning as cloud cover moved over the Front. Don’t look for much of a freeze if the temps remain high overnight. Mineral Basin will be offering the big smooth lines, but I expect the entire hill to ready to go from the opening bell. There is great music on the Plaza, so plan on sticking around for the festivities. IBBY!!
