SUMMER FUN

DSC01555Today is the first day of Summer and I thought I would post up and give a low down on the goings on.   The free concerts are starting tomorrow night with some real nice talent and a festive atmosphere.  The hill has melted off, so hiking is in full swing and it won’t be long until the wild flowers start coming out in force.  I always love those fields of color in the high country.  The Mountain coaster is coming right along and is looking very cool and will definitely provide some thrills.  It is way up in the air, and the last section should be entertaining.   I drove back to SLC to visit the Chef and see his garden which he put where his front lawn used to be.  It is a veritable garden of eatin’  and he has been cooking up a storm using the early produce that is now hitting big.  There is so much he just can’t eat it all, so he sent me back to the High Desert with bags full of nutritious goodies.  He has a way with a WOK that is uncanny, and you have to stand back when he is stir frying to avoid the rocket blast of the fire.  That’s cookin’!!!  Here are some shots of his Rhubarb that is off the charts big and lush.  Be sure to get up on the hill as soon as you can and escape the Valley heat.  Thanks for veggies Dave.  Ciao for Now!!!DSC01556

    Hi Dave,
Loved the update. Pat and I will returning to Utah on July 2nd now that our third grandchild has arrived on 6/11/2013 – Eastyn Paloma Hyatt, 8 lb. 3oz. and grandparent duty is subsiding. Now that my leg has healed, I’m really looking forward to hiking up on the mountain. We hope we get to see you up there.
    Take care,
    Michael
