IT BEGINS

11-26-24

And here it is, just like that, the beginning of yet another season at The Bird. It was only yesterday that the first football exhibition game was played on the tube, and I thought, it will be tomorrow that we will be standing on the Tram as the season begins, and here it is upon us. With the accumulation over the past weeks, cold temps, plus the snow making efforts, the hill is in fair shape. A significant storm is working the hill right now, which promises to bring a foot or more to add to the pack. The opening day is Thursday, and I expect some limitation of terrain access, but the cover should be good where the hill has been prepared. Care should be taken sporting much off the beaten path, so tread lightly.

Facing the line up on the first day of a solid swell.

The new Wilbre Chair has been tested and was spinning the other day when the breakfast crew met for the celebration of another season. It was great to see all the activity getting the hill ready for the opening bell.

We had the honor of having Junior Bounous join us for the meeting of the breakfast crew to help us celebrate the new season.

I will be off Planet for the opening Thursday, but will return from the far reaches and be on the hill Sunday. I will be out of internet range of course, so I’ll post again upon my return. Stay Frosty!!!

COMING SEASON

11-05-24

With the season coming up fast and the cold temps setting in, I have returned from my sojourn in the high desert and numerous points in the far reaches of The Galaxy. The Trailer is set up, once again, at the horse corral where Snoopy and Prickly Pete are keeping a close eye on the goings on. Up on the hill, the new Wilbre Chair is well on it’s way to a finish for opening day, and the new Mid Gad Lodge is closed in for the Winter. I have been doing my visualizations of overhead, deep face shots to draw those energies to manifest in good time.

Yours truly emerging from a deep blast out around the Sunday Cliffs. Power blasting is one of my favorite feelings.

The hill has some cover with the recent small storms that have been coming through, and, with the continued cold temps, have kept the accumulation consistent and building a good foundation. I will be going up to get a first hand look at the hill and am anxious to re establish the Portal in Mineral Basin, so as to be able to move in and out of the Continuum at a moments notice.

Me on the left dialing in the coordinates for a quick jump before the breakfast break.

I’ll be posting more often ahead of the opening day, to keep you apprised of the conditions and changes as they occur. Use your best visualizations of how it feels to experience your favorite lines and conditions for best manifestation results. Syrup Won’t Stop ‘EM!!!
